The Design Commission approved the Alta Centric, a new mixed use building in Goose Hollow designed by SERA Architects for Wood Partners. The 7 to 8-story building will include 203 residential units and a small commercial space facing SW Morrison St. 15 vehicular parking spaces are proposed, accessed from SW 17th Ave.
The building will be subject to the city’s inclusionary housing rules, which require the provision of affordable housing or the payment of a fee-in-lieu.
Design Advice has been offered to SERA Architects and Wood Partners for a proposed development at 1634 SW Alder St. The 7 to 8-story building would include 218 residential units and 3,700 sq ft of office / co-working space facing SW Morrison St. 15 vehicular parking spaces are proposed, accessed from SW 17th Ave.

The Design Commission has approved the ART Tower, a 21-story mixed use tower in the Goose Hollow neighborhood design by Ankrom Moisan Architects for Wood Partners. The building will rise to a height of 224′, and include 314 residential units over 4,000 sq ft of ground-floor retail space. 215 vehicular parking spaces will be provided in three level of underground parking.
The ART Tower tower is the first high rise to be approved since the adoption of the city’s inclusionary housing rules, which require the provision of affordable housing or the payment of a fee-in-lieu.
The Design Commission has approved a project by Ankrom Moisan Architects at 1638 W Burnside St. The 7 to 8 story tall building for Atlanta-based developer Wood Partners will include 138 residential units, 83 below-grade parking spaces and 209 long term bicycle parking spaces. 5,924 sq ft of ground floor commercial space is planned, with retail spaces facing W Burnside at Level 1 and SW Alder St and Level 2.

At 178′ tall, Block 17 would dominate almost any other neighborhood in Portland, and yet it is the shortest of the three high rises currently under construction in the North Pearl. The building at NW 12th & Overton is composed of two distinct forms, divided by a semi-public courtyard: a five story low rise building on the eastern half of the block; and a 16 story tower on the western half. Between them, they will create 281 rental apartment units. 210 vehicular parking spaces will be located in a below grade garage. 422 bicycle parking spaces will be provided, with one space in each unit, and the rest in a secure storage room. The building’s design is by Boora Architects for Hoyt Street Properties in partnership with Atlanta-based Wood Partners.
