Seven Corners Community Collaborative goes before Landmarks Commission (images)

Waterleaf Architecture have gone before the Historic Landmarks Commission with initial designs for the Seven Corners Community Collaborative, a four story office building with ground floor retail. The building will serve as the new headquarters for Community Vision, Inc., a non profit that helps people with disabilities to live independently in their homes. According to an article in The Oregonian earlier this year the building will be a showcase for accessible construction, including ensuring that “rooms and corridors… be oriented and painted so people with impaired sight will be able to navigate more easily.”

Pre-Application Conference for redevelopment of former Lloyd Center Nordstrom

Waterleaf Architecture has scheduled a Pre-Application Conference [PDF] to discuss a redevelopment of the West Anchor Building at the Lloyd Center. The existing 3-story, 150,000 sq ft store will be renovated for multi-tenant use. The project will include adding new curtain wall glazing into the existing brick facade, and a new architectural screen facing onto the plaza. The plaza will receive new concrete paving, with the existing fountain and trees remaining.
