Originally designed as market-rate housing for developer Wood Partners, new project owner Guardian Real Estate Services has repositioned Tiller Terrace to be 100% affordable housing. The Goose Hollow building will now include 214 residential units affordable at 60% of Area Median Income.

The Choice Cambria hotel at 135 NW Park Ave was submitted for a Type III Design Review (now approved) by SERA Architects:

DZ HEARING – It is the decision of the Design Commission to approve Design Review for a new, approximately 69-foot tall, six story hotel with 178 guest units. The ARCOA Mixed Use will wrap around the historic ARCOA building at 1006 SE Grand, with an eight story mass at the corner of SE 6th and Yamhill and a three story mass facing SE Grand.

The ARCOA Mixed Use at SE 6th and Yamhill gained approval from the Historic Landmarks Commission*, reports the Daily Journal of Commerce.

The Port of Portland looking at alternative uses or sale of major assets to further new ‘shared prosperity’ initiative, reports the Oregonian ($). The Portland Diamond Project has let an option on the Port’s Terminal 2 property lapse.

Portland’s Bureau of Development Services is laying off 13 staff members, according to OPB. The Bureau is almost entirely reliant on permit fees, which have dropped sharply.

A building permit was issued for the Small Division apartments at SE 115th and Division. The three story building will include 60 units of affordable housing. A second phase, known as the Large Division apartments, will include 138 units of affordable housing.

A design review application has been submitted for changes to the previously approved Hyatt Unbound hotel at SW 3rd and Salmon. A building permit for the project was issued in September 2019, however work has not yet started.
