I’m disappointed that 2515 SE 30th has gone from 32 units in the 2018 application, to 12 units now. It was an innovative design. There was another 32 unit one planned at 2508 SE 32nd, which now appears to be dead, and can’t be revived because of the required Active Use ground floor now in effect on that site (but not on this one).
Glad to see the 40-unit project at 1314 SE Cesar Chavez Blvd. Too bad the city couldn’t bring itself to do any but the mildest upzoning in SE. This could have been more housing if it were CM-2. I don’t know what “Garden style” means in apartments. A courtyard? Open upper walkways? I guess we’ll see.
I looked up the firm and found this — https://www.quad-pdx.com/#/courtyard/
It would be nice if they could save the large street tree at the corner of Chavez and Main in front of 1314 Chavez.
I’m sure that YBP Ankeny has admirable goals but don’t they violate fair housing laws against discrimination on the basis of race?
